The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Offender Management Supervisor to provide a critical role within Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
H.M. Prison Langi Kal Kal is a minimum-security men's protection prison located 140klm west of Melbourne at Trawalla. The prison's primary purpose is to prepare male prisoners for transition, reintegration, and release. As a working farm with eight separate industries, there is a strong focus on employment, training, and work readiness.
About the Role
The Offender Management Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the Offender Management Prison Pathway is embedded under the Correctional Practice Framework. Working closely with the onsite prison team, the Offender Management Supervisor leads a team who promotes best practice case management and provides advise and direction regarding all aspects of offender management. The Offender Management Supervisor establishes effective relationships with internal business units to ensure that the prison achieves its objectives.
Some of your duties will include:
- Contribute to actively engaging with the people in our care and the community to promote positive behavioural change.
- Identify and facilitate professional development and/or training opportunities for staff involved in the delivery of offender management practices.
- Develop and implement strategies for quality assurance and continuous improvement in offender management initiatives.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Correctional Practice Framework and Community Corrections Permit Program and experience in implementing the Offender Management Prison Pathway.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a prison environment.
- Well-developed written communications skills
