Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) provides evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services for individuals in custody and the community. Service delivery focuses on areas including violent and sexual offending, restorative justice, violent extremism and family violence.
The Service Development Branch within FIS oversees service delivery across the state, in both prisons and Community Corrections. The branch is responsible for monitoring and improving services, as well as managing the technological systems that support service delivery and continuous improvement. The Service Capability & Solutions team sits within this branch and supports system capability and service improvement initiatives.
As part of the Service Capability and Solutions team, the Assistant Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating and oversight of the service systems; namely the Corrections Victoria Intervention Management System (CVIMS). This includes maintaining and strengthening the integrity of CVIMS by identifying and addressing any system and data integrity issues, identifying future development needs, and strengthening the interface between these systems and frontline service delivery. The Assistant Manager will supervise, mentor and lead staff within the Service Capability and Solutions team and contribute to ongoing system training and support for FIS clinical staff.

What you'll do
The Assistant Manager, Service Capability and Solutions reports to the Manager, Service Capability and Solutions and is required to work closely with other Managers across FIS and other key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of organisational and service priorities. Some of the key functions include:
- Lead the development and enhancement of current and future systems to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to address system and data integrity issues.
- Identify and respond to emerging clinical service delivery issues across prisons and Community Corrections.
- Contribute to the training strategy and training needs for Forensic Intervention Services and regional staff.
- Supervise, mentor and lead staff within the Service Capability and Solutions team.

- A demonstrated understanding of the key issues impacting the adult corrections system.
- A solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify service delivery issues and support continuous service and quality improvement.

Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in service delivery and quality improvement within complex service environments is highly desirable.
