About us
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
Community Work and Partnerships is one of four service delivery streams within CCS. We are responsible for the development of mutually beneficial partnerships with government agencies and non-government organisations so that individuals can undertake unpaid work as part of their community-based sentence imposed by the Courts of Victoria.
About your new role:
As the Supervisor, you will lead a team of Community Work Officers, Community Work Development Officers, Leading Field Officers and Field Officers. You will also work closely with the community to establish partnerships that promote opportunities for individuals to participate in meaningful work that promotes rehabilitation and enhances community safety.
While the primary work location could be either in Geelong, Ballarat, Horsham, or Warrnambool, it is expected the successful candidate will be able to travel to all 4 locations in the West Area (Geelong, Warrnambool, Ballarat and Horsham) as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Exceptional operational leadership ability;
- The ability to mentor, coach and develop your team;
- experience in effectively marketing and developing community partnership strategies;
- a strong focus on operational service delivery;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills.
