Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex and violent offences on post sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.
About the role:
Advanced Practitioners within the court case management stream of CCS will manage a case load of predominately complex and high-risk individuals who have committed offences. This involves conducting risk assessments, preparing case plans, providing interventions, proactively challenging offending behaviours, addressing the underlying factors in offending whilst directing, and monitoring compliance with court order obligations. This role must also support individuals to successfully complete their court orders, while balancing risks to community safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a caseload of predominately complex and high-risk individuals
- Motivate and influence staff in best case management practice
- Produce written reports with appropriate analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Apply sound judgement in the identification and assessment of individual risk
- Develop and maintain relationships with cross-government and community-based stakeholders
About you:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks including managing clients with complex presentations and conducting risk and needs assessments in a human services context.
- Ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
- Demonstrated understanding and capability in leading, managing and developing staff responsible for operational service delivery
- Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion
