About us
Corrections Victoria's purpose is to deliver an effective corrections system for a safe community. Community Correctional Services (CCS), is overseen by Corrections Victoria, a division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety. CCS is responsible for the management and supervision of prisoners on parole, clients under post sentence supervision and court orders.
CCS is currently experiencing rapid growth in the offender population. In response to this, Corrections Victoria will embed evidence-based practice across all areas of our work and target responses to the areas that will allow the greatest impacts to be made. This approach will contribute to a safer community and strengthen CCS for the future.
About the role
Based in Shepparton, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of case officers, case managers, advanced case managers and court assessment and prosecutions officers. By enhancing your team's capacity, you will focus on the importance of client engagement and rehabilitation to ensure you deliver best practice case management services. Building strong relationships with the courts and other stakeholders based on superior service, is key to the success of this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- experience and knowledge of best practice case management frameworks, including the provision of needs assessment in a human services context
- an understanding and capability in leading and developing a team responsible for operational service delivery
- an ability to implement theoretical concepts to reduce risk and maximise individual outcomes.
A relevant qualification in social work, human services or criminal justice with experience in a related field is also desirable.
