About us

The Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) is a 512 bed maximum security facility for female prisoners.  DPFC accommodates female prisoners of all security rating levels and prisoner categories including reception, remand, sentenced, mental health, management and protection. Along with HM Prison Tarrengower, the DPFC forms part of the women's prison system in Victoria.

About the role

This is an opportunity to join the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC) Programs team focused on coordinating and delivering Offending Behaviour Programs (OBP) to the remand female prison population in Melbourne's North West Region.

The Remand Program Facilitator will provide skills-based interventions that address common issues in general functioning associated with remandees. This role will be responsible for coordinating program availability, scheduling sessions, enabling participation/engagement and promoting the OBP readiness within DPFC. We are seeking a self-motivated, organised individual with a strong and positive work ethic who thrives in a dynamic and regulated environment.

Please note: This is a fixed term role until 19 October 2018.

To be successful in this role you will be an engaged team player willing to contribute to all aspects and demands of the DPFC remand team. You will also have the ability to work autonomously, effectively link women with appropriate stakeholders and to consider the integration of women into the DPFC environment.
