A 13 month fixed term opportunity exists for an Offender Services Manager at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, (DPFC) Corrections Victoria. DPFC is a 540 bed medium to maximum security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice and Regulation.

Reporting to the GM, the Offender Services Manager is a senior role responsible for influencing the coordination of non-therapeutic correctional programs within DPFC. These programs include, prisoner wellbeing, cultural, orientation, parenting, recreational and transitional programs, delivered internally (Corrections Victoria), contracted providers and not-for-profit service providers. Essentially, you will provide oversight to contracted service providers to ensure effective delivery.

As the Offender Services Manager you will be part of the DPFC Executive management team and provide portfolio updates and information to inform strategic decision making. In addition, you will contribute to continuous improvement ensuring quality outcomes and service provisions of program activities. This role also provides the opportunity to manage and mentor less experienced staff to assist in their ongoing growth and development within the facility.

To succeed in this role at DPFC, you will have:

  • experience in correctional programs and offender management
  • a genuine interest in keeping abreast of latest developments to support innovation relevant to program activities
  • the ability to contribute to DPFC's strategic and business planning
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
