About us

Offending Behaviour Programs seek to reduce an offender's risk of re-offending. Interventions may address violence propensity, general offending behaviour, motivation to change, maintaining change, emotion management and other offence-related topics.

Offending Behaviour Programs (OBP) are delivered via a hybrid services delivery model comprised of departmental staff and private providers. Regional OBP is responsible for providing Offending Behaviour Programs to eligible Prisoners in public Prisons and offenders reporting to Community Correctional Services.

About the role

As the Contract Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of all contracted offending behaviour programs services within the Department of Justice & Regulation (DJR).

In the role, you will be responsible for coordinating program availability, scheduling, participation, engagement and attendance in consultation with staff from Prisons and stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure service demand is identified, planned for and met through the OBP hybrid service delivery model of contractors. You will:

  • contribute to the achievement of agreed key performance indicators and service targets
  • collect and collate data, maintain accurate records and prepare reports regarding performance and service delivery
  • contribute to the achievement of both regional and Corrections priorities
  • effectively build relationships and collaborate with a range of stakeholders to co-ordinate the delivery of the full suite of services and programs within the hybrid model.

The position may require travel across the region, and, at times across multiple regions.

Please note this position is fixed term until April 22, 2019.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • experience and/or specialist training in relevant service coordination programs
  • demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the coordination of complex service delivery models including contract coordination and management
  • demonstrated understanding of the reducing re-offending literature and an understanding of the translation of evidence based principles into service delivery and operational practice
  • knowledge and understanding of intervention needs of specialist cohorts
  • the ability to work under minimal supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • computer program skills, such as, excel and strong data management skills to manage data and service demands.

Expertise in programs and service coordination within a correctional environment is highly desirable.
