Two exciting opportunities exist for experienced Team Leaders within the Post Sentence Branch of Corrections Victoria.

About us

Corrections Victoria's Post Sentence Branch (formally Sex Offender Management Branch) was established in 2006 in order to provide a coordinated and integrated approach to the management of post-sentence offenders across both prison services and community corrections. The branch is responsible for key elements of sex offender management within the organisation and comprises a number of functional areas including policy and project management, assessment and treatment, and operations.

Within the operational area, Corella Place is a Transitional Accommodation Facility that enhances the protection of the community by providing accommodation for sex offenders when suitable accommodation elsewhere in the community is not available. Corella Place operates at three sites, Warrak Road, Ararat and Emu Creek, Langi Kal Kal Road, Trawalla.

About the role

The role of the Team Leader is to facilitate operational objectives by leading the Specialist Case Workers and the Activities Coordinator, both independently and in a team context, in a dynamic operational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the day to day operational aspects of Corella Place
  • Responsible for the performance management and coaching of a team, including professional development and best practice service delivery
  • Responsible for quality assurance & risk assessments
  • Be actively involved in project activities and continuous review of the operations of the facility

About you

  • Demonstrated experience working within a legislative framework and an ability to apply and review policies and procedures
  • Leadership experience and motivation to work with staff to improve service delivery
  • Experience working in a complex dynamic setting
  • The ability to manage staff working in an high risk/high profile environment
