About us

H.M. Dhurringile Prison is a minimum security male prison facility focused on the rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners back into the community.

About the role

As the Assessment and Transition Coordinator, you will work within a team environment to coordinate the Corrections Victoria Reintegration Pathway that is offered to all sentenced prisoners prior to release. You will undertake prisoner risk assessments using the approved CV assessment instrument, facilitate the parole application processes including liaison with the Adult Parole Board and Community Correctional Services and provide a range of support and services to assist prisoners to transition into, through and out of prison.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will possess:

  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent computer and data entry skills
  • a proven ability to actively problem solve, facilitate in a group setting, and work with a wide range of stakeholders.

A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline with a background in transitional needs for disadvantage peopled would be an advantage but not essential.
