About us

The Business Services Division provides Corrections Victoria (CV) Head Office with high quality and timely business support services in the areas of Grants and Procurement, Contract Management, Finance and Accounting, Asset Management services and IT support.

The Grants and Procurement Branch (GPB) is a centralised procurement team within the Business Services Division that is responsible for the management of end-to-end procurement and grant activity, including contract management and purchasing, on behalf of CV. The GPB is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental policies and processes, reducing procurement risk and achieving value for money outcomes for the department.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager ICT, the Sourcing Lead is responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing events and successful delivery of procurement projects for CV. The Sourcing Lead will manage the re-tender of key telecommunications and data contracts in line with the department's Procurement and Contract Management Framework, whilst ensuring project risks are appropriately managed and value-for-money outcomes are achieved.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • experience in successfully managing the retender and successful implementation of strategic ICT telecommunications and data contracts
  • experience in the management of end-to-end strategic sourcing activities and the ability to prepare comprehensive sourcing documentation and reports including commercial and contractual analysis
  • experience in successfully managing the retender and successful implementation of strategic ICT telecommunications and data contracts
  • capability in effectively leading teams to foster initiative, promote teamwork, achieve outcomes, meet deadlines and produce high quality, value for money outcomes
  • experience in applying structured project management methods, with a preference for PRINCE2
  • experience in a Correctional environment would be highly regarded (not essential).
