An exciting 12 month opportunity exists for a Senior Project Officer in the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Branch within Corrections Victoria.

Corrections Victoria operates Victoria's adult corrections system, including Community Correctional Services across more than 50 locations, and manages 12 public prisons and oversees two privately operated prisons. It ensures prisoners are safely and securely contained and aims to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

The Senior Project Officer, Service Development, is located within the Rehabilitation and Reintegration Branch and will be part of the Service Development team. Core to being successful in this role will be your strong written and oral communications skills; expertise in building and maintaining high value relationships with stakeholders and experience in project management.

The Service Development Unit has been established to lead high priority, high profile service reforms that impact upon a number of Corrections Victoria's business areas.  The Unit is a small team that draws in additional staff from subject matter areas as required, depending on the Unit's work program.

The position will report to the Service Development Manager, Rehabilitation and Reintegration Branch but work across projects of Specialised Offender Assessment and Treatment Services, Offending Behaviour Programs and other service delivery areas as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • experience in leading and managing complex projects, within specified time frames
  • strong problem solving ability
  • knowledge and/or experience relating to the corrections environment.
