People and Culture provides high quality human resources services to the Department of Justice and Regulation, to develop the capability and culture of staff in order to deliver critical services to the Victorian community.

People and Culture's Learning and Development (L&D) team delivers services in the following streams:

  • L&D consultancy and training services
  • leadership and professional development solutions
  • service desk and technical support for the department's performance and learning management system
  • the department's Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

About the role

As the L&D Consultant, Corrections Victoria (CV) Prisons, you will provide generalist L&D services to your client group, including:

  • undertaking training needs analysis
  • scoping, planning, managing and implementing L&D solutions for CV prisons
  • instructional design of technical and transferable skills learning solutions
  • facilitating leadership training
  • analysing and evaluating learning solutions
  • developing processes to ensure high standards of training and assessment are maintained.

This is a fixed-term position until January 2020, based at 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. Regular travel to other locations across Victoria will be required, which may involve overnight stays.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have proven skills and experience in facilitating training, including work based training and assessment, conducting training needs analysis, and the ability to apply various learning methodologies and contextualise training to meet organisational needs.

You will have knowledge of Australian RTO standards and processes to deliver nationally recognised training, and highly developed people and project management capabilities.

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
